The Spanish State Department selected E-Trail Digital Archive for its superior regulatory compliance features and Lighthouse Global Technologies’ international presence.
STAMFORD, Conn., October 17 (Business Wire) --
The Spanish Secretary of State Department for the European Union (SEUE) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has chosen E-Trail Digital Archive from Lighthouse Global Technologies for managing the archival of its electronic communications.
In addition to the great technical features and its competitive price, the experience of the company in both Europe and the United States was a key factor in the signing of this agreement. The authorities in Europe value E-Trail’s regulatory compliance features, which were designed based upon Lighthouse Global Technologies’ experience in addressing the stringent requirements firms face in North America, such as Sarbanes-Oxley.
Through the use of E-Trail Digital Archive, the SEUE is able to automatically archive all inbound and outbound emails, provide for automatic recovery of emails lost or deleted, allow for data mining/information management of the archive data, and improve the efficiency of retrieving the information contained in the messages and their attachments for its nearly 500-person staff.
The detection and elimination of duplicate files contained within the email, as opposed to the typical single instance storage algorithm employed by other archiving solutions, has led to greatly reduced primary and secondary storage in the SEUE environment which supports a considerable exchange and distribution of email and associated documents. This has already led to reduced storage costs as well as for the more efficient retrieval of email.
E-Trail Digital Archive has benefited the SEUE with additional features and functions related to extensive reporting, statistical analysis, and data mining on the electronic communications. All of these activities are carried out within the EU legal framework related to data privacy of electronic communications.
