Each company is able to establish and implement its own rules and policies for selective archiving with E-Trail Digital Archive ASP. All retrieval and supervision can be conducted through web-based applications over secure internet connections by any authorized persons anywhere in the world.
How It Works
Your company or your hosted service provider simply journals/forwards your email to an Exchange journal file (MS Exchange) or a POP3 mail file (e.g. Gmail, IMail, Lotus). E-Trail Digital Archive ASP will process your email either through a real-time secure internet connection, or in batch mode on a time schedule that you decide. In either mode E-Trail Digital Archive processes each message by creating a digital signature for the file, indexing the email based on sender/receiver, date/time stamp, and message ID. Full keyword indexing is captured for the message body and each of its attachments (includes recursive processing of each file in archive formats such as zip and rar files). All emails and attachments are de-duplicated and compressed for reduced storage costs.

E-Trail Digital Archive ASP is affordably priced so that even the smallest companies can quickly retrieve business related emails at the request of regulators or litigants:
Companies with up to 250 mailboxes: $10/mailbox/month plus $1.50GB/month storage
Companies with 251 to 500 mailboxes: $9/mailbox/month plus $1.40GB/month storage
Companies with 501 to 1,000 mailboxes: $8/mailbox/month plus $1.30/GB/month storage
Companies with over 1,000 mailboxes: Please call for custom pricing
(For budgeting purposes companies should expect to use 0.5GB/mailbox/year.)
Storage Options
E-Trail Digital Archive ASP uses a RAID 5 disk array as its primary storage (backed up to tape). Optional secondary storage includes WORM tape, WORM optical drive, or secondary RAID 5 disk array.
