E-Trail DA Safeguard is an email pre-delivery inspection tool that allows clients to apply policies to outgoing email using any of the rich criteria used to define email sets within E-Trail Digital Archive including senders/receivers, departments of senders/receivers, scoped text based criteria (including attachments, their names and their metadata), and the size of the email. When a policy is triggered by an outgoing email, E-Trail DA Safeguard can embargo the email until a compliance officer releases it, forward the message to one or more users for later review, rebound the email to its original sender, modify the email header to reflect the policy violation, or to add a disclaimer to the message body. Highlights of E-Trail DA Safeguard include: Allowing clients to analyze an email on the SMTP stream before it is sent to the recipients Logical tests can include any of the criteria used to retrieve email, assign retention policies to email or to delete email Executing actions based on policy violations including embargoing the email, allowing the email to be sent but alerting one or more users, adding a disclaimer to the outgoing email, or bouncing the email back to its sender This module comes with an editor for the creation of policy/action pairs
