The E-Trail DA Outlook Add-In is an Outlook client component that provides a seamless integration between Outlook and E-Trail Digital Archive for mailbox management and advanced search capabilities. It can be used as an alternative interface for email retrieval that presents the user their resultant email set as a traditional folder within their Outlook client.
It is most often used in conjunction with E-Trail DA Exchange Gateway to provide for a seamless mailbox management solution.
The E-Trail DA Exchange Gateway module is used to construct aggressive email migration policies from the mail server to the lower cost email archive. Migrated email is represented as header data on the email server.
This header data is presented to the user as an email stub that is indistinguishable from server based email. When the user clicks on the stub, the E-Trail DA Outlook Add-in retrieves the email from the archive for seamless presentation to the user.

Allows users access to all of the functionality of the web-based retrieval tool, but fully integrated with the MS Outlook mail client.
The add-in creates two buttons on the Outlook control bar for managing E-Trail Digital Archive queries
